Are you insured for tours?

Yes, I have Public Liability insurance through the British Guild of Tourist Guides. Further details can be provided on request

How much does it cost?

Costs are in line with the fees recommended for outside London by the British Guild of Tourist Guides.

Each tour or talk is different. My quotation will clearly state the total cost and specify any inclusions and exclusions. Meals and entrance fees are usually excluded but can be included by mutual agreement. For more complex itineraries I can normally give an initial budgetary estimate.

How and when do I pay?

Payment is usually on the day and can be cash, credit/debit card or in advance by bank transfer. Where expenses are incurred prior to the tour a deposit will be requested to cover these. This can be paid by Bank Transfer, PayPal or credit/debit card.

What happens once I have booked a tour or talk?

I will confirm the booking in writing, detailing full details including cost, date and time, meeting point and a full itinerary.

Can you pick me up at a station/airport?

Yes, I can meet you at any location convenient for you, This could be a station, airport, hotel or any other location you require.

Are tours suitable for someone in a wheelchair or with a disability?

Most town tours are suitable for wheelchair users or people with disabilities, the challenges occasionally being cobbled streets and steep hills. Some historic buildings present difficulties, but I would try to find a way to accommodate you. Country walks are generally not suitable for wheelchair users or those unable to keep up a reasonable walking pace. However there are some Cotswold walks that accommodate wheelchairs and scooters. Please discuss your requirements with me and I am sure I can help with a great day out.

Why use a Blue Badge Guide?

Awarded by The Institute of Tourist Guiding. The Blue Badge is the highest guiding qualification in Britain. The training is detailed and comprehensive, the examinations rigorous and registration an achievement The Blue Badge is recognised internationally as the qualification of excellence.

Will you be conducting the tour?

I will be conducting your tour, in the unlikely event I am unavailable I will, with your agreement, suggest an alternate guide who is also Blue Badge and is known to me personally.
